I guess you have already seen a webpage with a squid that have a single big eye as a logo. That page is called a Squidoo Lenses and the people who produce the pages or lenses are called "lensmasters." Squidoo is a community website that has been gaining popularity since it was launched in 2005. Members of Squidoo are allowed to create pages which are called lenses on any subject. Squidoo was developed by Seth Godin based on the principle that everyone is an expert in some area. As of February 2009, Squidoo has 900,000 hand built lenses and it is in the top 300 most viewed in the United States. Squidoo is fast becoming the new MySpace because it addresses a real need and builds on other Web 2.0 technologies such as Flickr and YouTube.
